If you enjoy Bingo on Monday nights, you owe gratitude to Reta Psikla. Years ago, she spent many hours putting the number of each card into the computer system. “Once I got into a rhythm, it went quickly,” she said recently. You can see these old, primitive bingo cards on the shelf under the curtain opposite the pool table — little red cellophane windows you push open or closed. If you remember those days, leave a comment for others to see!
Reta was also one of the artists who painted the bricks in the Bingo Hall. This was a DooBees fundraising project to raise money for repairs and equipment for the DooBees Center and the Bingo Hall. Snowbirds paid about $50, and told various artists what they wanted on their brick. It has become a de facto record of many Snowbirds who are no longer coming to camp.
